Introduction
Thai Nguyen University of Technology has mission in training human resources withlevels of graduate and postgraduate, qualifyingthe national and international standards, meeting the needs of scientific, technical and managerial staffin the area of industry, serving the economic and social development of the country, especially the midland and mountainous areas in the North.
For the purpose of building the university to be a leading one of industry and technology in Viet Nam with many fields at the same level with advanced universities in the world, the university has always paid special attention to the building and improving the organization and development of the staff.
At the present, the lineup of staffs and lecturers has 594 people, comprising 400 lecturers and 194 office staffs, in whichthere are 16 associate professors, 44 doctors, 276 masters, and 241 engineers and bachelors implementing the education and trainingof the university with a scale of more than 7,000 domestic and international students in 35 training specialties consisting of 28 specialties for graduate, 8 specialties for postgraduate, 2 specialties for doctor of philosophy, 2 advanced programs and 2 cooperation programs with foreign universities.

Due to the increasingly high demands for the quality of training in order to satisfy the requirements brought by international integrationtrend, the lecturers’ improvement of specialty level and foreign languages as well as informatics is urgent. Up to now, 93 percent of the lecturers are good at English or they obtained TOEFL ITP above 450.
. In the three years from 2011 to 2016, the universitydelegated 295 lecturers to visit, work, study and practise at cooperation universities in some countries such as Thailand, Japan, Korea, Japan, United States and Australia… and received 165 international lecturers and students from partner universities to visit, give lectures and practise at TNUT.
Besides, scientific research and technology transferhave beenunceasingly sped up and developed. From 2000 to 2017, the university carried out 760 scientific research projectsat all levels and published 700 articles in national as well as international journals and conferences.
Planning, training and developing the personnel and enhancing management competence have always been interested. At the moment, the university has 115 managers from deputy head of division to higher levels, an increase of 2.3 times compared to the year 2000.
Annually, the emulation review, awards, commendations of titles for staff and faculty are publicly and seriously implemented, which timely motivatesand strongly promotes staff and faculty to strive for successfully completingall the duties of each school-year.
