KOREA POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY VISITED AND WORKED AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

In the morning of December 26th   2017, the delegation of Korea Polytechnic University (KPU) paid a visit to Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT). Attending the meeting were Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Duy Cuong – Rector, Assoc.Prof. Dr Vu Ngoc Pi – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Long, Head, Department of Science, Technology and  International Affairs, Nguyen Tuan Minh, PhD – Director of Center for International Training Cooperation, and Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, PhD – Deputy head of Office of International Affairs. Representatives from KPU were Mr Kim Dong Young – Chairman, International Education Academy, Prof. Dr. Jeong-Hun Choi - Dean of School of Applied Industrial Technology, Prof.Dr. Seong-Soo Hong – Head of Dual Training Center and Dr. Byung-Gie Choi, Director General of Gyeonggi Province Branch Office.

            Founded in 1994, KPU has progressed toward our goal to be a worldwide renowned industrial technological university since its establishment. KPU has done this by improving the competitiveness of industries, nurturing the high quality engineers needed in the industrial sector and, ultimately, contributing to boosting national development in industrial technology.

            Despite its short history, Korea Polytechnic University has made many astonishing achievements in technological education since its foundation. All the while, KPU has been appraised as a prestigious university by authoritative evaluations, standing beside other prominent technological universities in Korea. 

During the meeting, TNUT and KPU presented relevant information about the capacity in training and faculty exchange. Both institutions also discussed about Korean language teaching, vocational training program for graduate students at TNUT, 2+2 program and lecturer exchange.

The meeting affirmed the great potential of promoting academic and education cooperation and exchange between the two institutions.
