On October 3rd 2017, ThaiNguyen University had a meeting with Permanent Representative of Embassy of Laos PDR. Representatives of TNUT were Assoc. Prof. Dr Vu Ngoc Pi – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Thanh Long – Head of Office of Research Management and International Affairs, Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha – Deputy Head of Office of Research Management and International Affairs. Representatives of Laos Embassy were Mrs Thongmy Duansakda and Mr Outhay Bannavong – Deputy Head of Department of Culture – Education.
The main purpose of the meeting was mainly to consolidate the cooperation between TNUT and Laos Embassy as well as Department of Technical Vocational Education – Ministry of Education, Laos PDR and to exchange ideas for development in educational cooperation. Through this meeting, TNUT and Laos Embassy discusssed about the condition and ability for Laos students get scholarship at TNUT.
Both institutions expressed the willingness to support Laos students to get scholarship of TNUT with all available resources and capabilities.
