10:25 - 24/05/2017

With the agreement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Thai Nguyen People's Committee, on March 5th, 2017, the Vietnamese Engineering Journal and Thai Nguyen University of Technology-Thai Nguyen University co-operated with Automotive Engineering Club have solemnly organized a national conference on "Training high quality human resources for automotive mechanical engineering in the northern midland mountainous area: The current situation and solution".

The training of high quality human resources in automotive mechanical engineering at the training and research centers in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous area has been highly innovative and highly successful in providing the society with human resources. From the practical requirements, the training of high quality human resources in motivational engineering at research centers in the northern midland and mountainous region still faces many inadequacies and needs to have appropriate solutions. Hence, it is vital to set goals and strategies to adjust and adopt appropriate supportive policies to improve the quality and effectiveness of human resources training in the field automotive mechanical engineering.

The purpose of the conference was to inform, share, exchange information and experience on the results of training and scientific research on human resources of automotive force in recent years. Reflecting the situation, needs and forecasts of research institutes, centers, agencies and enterprises on recruitment, training and scientific research on human resources in the field of automotive mechanical engineering in the recent past. Proposing solutions to human resource development, share the opportunities and challenges in training, scientific research and technology transfer to 2021 and following years. Contributing to promote the role of training and scientific research in human resources in Automotive Mechanical Engineering for the development strategy of Vietnam's automobile industry to 2025 and strategic vision to 2035.

Attending the conference were Mr. Long Thanh Cao - Deputy Director of Science, Technology and Environment - Thai Nguyen University; About the organizers: Associate.Prof.Dr. Cuong Duy Nguyen - Rector, Head of the Organizing Committee; Prof. Dr. Lang Van Pham - President of Automotive Engineering Club, Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee; Ms. Binh Thanh Duong - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Mechanical Journal, Vice Chairman Representatives of universities, colleges, academies, professional secondary schools and business groups attended the seminar; On the side of the school, there are Associate Prof. Dr. Minh Xuan Tran- Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pi Ngoc Vu- Vice Rector and leaders of faculties and students at the university attended. Mass media agencies of Thai Nguyen Radio and Television, Thai Nguyen Newspaper, The Industry and Trade Newspaper attended and reported on the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Associate. Prof. Dr.  Cuong Duy Nguyen- Rector, Head of the Organizing Committee hoped that the Conference would be a bridge between Thai Nguyen University of Technology with training and research institutions and enterprises in the whole country, especially in the Northern region, in order to jointly train high quality human resources and contribute to the socio-economic development of the provinces in the Midlands and Mountains in the North. On the other hand, it is to get the combination of hands-on training for students at manufacturing facilities and enterprises as well as feedback from employers to adjust the training program accordingly.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Lang - Chairman of the Automotive Mechanical Engineering Club, pointed out the shortage of high quality human resources in the field of motive mechanics, thus gave proposals for institutes, universities, research institutes and businesses.

At the workshop, the reports focused on the human resources innovations for the Automotive Mechanical Engineering. It is necessary to comprehensively implement the training objectives, the training scale, the training management, the training program, human resources participation in training, in which renovation of training programs and investment in human resources are two core issues affecting other factors. The development of training activities need the strength of the Group, the Association and enterprises to prepare human resources for the new development.

Many representatives from businesses also proposed to renovate the curriculum, which increases practice time, reduces theoretical lessons, updates modern technological equipment in teaching to suit the actual demand of employers, to organize training courses, refresher courses, and send students to practice, research and practical application in enterprises. The delegates from companies, enterprises as well as from training institutions agreed that in the current context, there should be more cooperation between schools, enterprises and corporations and companies to make the best results.

Through seminars, reports as well as exchange ideas are an important basis for the university, companies and enterprises to develop strategies for training high quality human resources to meet the development of the Automotive mechanical engineering. At the end, the delegations came to incense at ATK Dinh Hoa.
