SIGNING MOU AND MOA CEREMONY BETWEEN NATIONAL KAOHSIUNG MARINE UNIVERSITY AND THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

In the morning of November 10th 2017, Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT) had a meeting with the delegation of National Kaohsiung Marine University –Taiwan (NKMU). The meeting was directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong - TNUT’s Rector. Attending the meeting were Nguyen Tuan Minh, PhD – Director of Center for International Training, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ngo Nhu Khoa – Head of Office of Academic Training and Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, PhD - Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs. Representatives from NKMU were Prof. Wen Kai Hsu – Dean of the College of Management, Cheng Nan Lai, PhD – Director of Department of Information Management and Kao Jui Chung, PhD – Chief of International Affairs.


Established in 1948, among the higher educational institutions in Taiwan, NKMU is the educational institution focusing on cultivating marine affairs professionals. In the decades since its establishment, the University has trained numerous outstanding marine professionals who have made significant contributions to the economic development of the nation. The University has aggressively promoted international academic and technical exchanges, lead Taiwan's marine-related industries in the pursuit of technification and sophistication, and create a bright future for country's marine industries.


During the meeting, TNUT and NKMU introduced the university history, organization and capacity in training and doing research. Both institutions agreed to enhance international collaboration between TNUT and NKMU by faculty exchange, student exchange, research collaboration and teaching collaboration. At the end of the meeting, TNUT and NKMU together singed a Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement. The meeting affirmed the great potential of promoting academic and education cooperation and exchange between the two institutions.
