Originating in 1997 with only 3 teams participating, the National Student Physics Olympiad has become an annual activity organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Physics Association, Universities, Colleges. and Academy in the whole country. The purpose of the competition is to promote and improve the quality of teaching and learning Physics at universities, colleges, institutes as well as discover young talents in the field of Physics.
The XXII National Student Physics Olympiad was held from April 17-20, 2019 at Thuy Loi University.
This competition attracted 42 teams with a total of 116 lecturers and 248 students.
This is the first time Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT)has participated in the competition with 07 students in 3 contents: Tests, Experiments and Exercises. TNUT’ team has achieved excellent achievements with 02 First Prize, 03 Third Prize and the Third Prize for the whole team.
During the contest, the Organizing Committee also organized a Scientific Conference with the topic "Physics and
Applications" to enhance exchanges and scientific exchanges between faculty and students of the universities.
Dr. Pham Minh Tan - Dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences had a report with the topic "silica nanoparticles
and some applications", which attracted the attention of scientists, teachers and students.
