THE MEETING BETWEEN ERASMUS+ PROGRAM AND THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

In the afternoon of October 10th, 2017, Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT) had a meeting with the representative of Erasmus+ Program. The meeting was directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Pi - TNUT’s Vice Rector and participated by Assoc. Prof. Pham Thanh Long - Head of Office of International Affairs, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha - Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs, Professor Horst Puta – Ilmenau University of Technology and Mrs Sigrid Karin Wille Geb. Wittrowski – coordinator of Erasmus+ Program - Ilmenau University of Technology.

 

The Erasmus+ Program is an EU exchange student program that has been in existence since the late 1980s. Its purpose is to provide foreign exchange options for students from within the European Union and it involves many of the best universities and seats of learning on the continent. Since 2014 Erasmus opened to the world, became Erasmus+, and brought opportunities for students worldwide to apply for the scholarship.

During the meeting, representative of Erasmus+ Program introduced about the Erasmus+ Program, the process of applying of Erasmus+ scholarship and the Erasmus+ project between Ilmenau University of Technology and TNUT. Under the support of Ilmenau University of Technology and DAAD, TNUT got the Erasmus+ mobility program for two years 2017-2019. The program enhances the exchange of master student and training staff between Ilmenau University of Technology and TNUT. Students and staff have chances to get Erasmus Scholarship to enhance international competence and get international contact at university level, strengthen professional and language skills, study and work in modern and high quality education, and enjoy German and European social life and culture.

The meeting affirmed the great potential of promoting academic and education cooperation and exchange between two institutions.
