Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT) has been cooperating with Technische Universität Ilmenau (TU Ilmenau), Germany, since 2014 on the fields of Education, Research and Structural development based on the both sides agreed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU has been signed during an official visit of the TU Ilmenau delegation led by the Rector Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Dr. h. c. mult. Prof. h. c. mult. Peter Scharff to TNUT. Starting with teaching and consulting activities of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Horst Puta and exchange students, the collaboration between TU Ilmenau and TNUT has been proven quite successful.

This MoU has been extended with respect to research on the field “Energy Efficient Water Management” during an official visit of TNUT representatives in Ilmenau in October 2016.

Based on MoU the German partner will apply for a project in the frame of the European program ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility with TNUT as partner in the beginning of 2017 for a two-year period. In this period the mobility of students, scientific and administrative staff would be possible for both of the Universities.
The objectives of the mobility cover all possible activities for students and staff: studies, internships, teaching, learning, sharing of experience and good practices in both universities. The ERASMUS+ program would provide a truly chance of strengthening cooperation between TU Ilmenau and TNUT.
