In the morning of June 27th , 2017, Thai Nguyen University of Technology (TNUT) had a meeting with Professor La Manh Hung – Director of the Advanced Robotics and Automation Lab – University of Nevada, USA. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Duy Cuong – the Rector of TNUT, Assoc. Prof. Dr Vu Ngoc Pi – the Vice Rector of TNUT, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Xuan Minh – the Vice Rector of TNUT and other faculty members of TNUT.
Dr. La Manh Hung is the author of more than 70 papers in major journals, book chapters and international conference. He received the best researcher award in 2016 from CSE Department, University of Nevada. During the meeting, Dr. La Manh Hung presented the history, training programs, development cooperation activities and training scale of University of Nevada, thereby affirming the great potential in cooperation between University of Nevada and Thai Nguyen University of Technology.
In the afternoon, Dr La Manh Hung gave a talk with the topic: “Development of intelligent robotic systems and mobile sensor networks for real world applications”. This topic focused on the development of mobile sensor networks or multi-agent systems based on flocking control and adaptive sensing for scalar field mapping. The consensus filters in multi-agent systems was also covered. Attending the presentation was lecturers and students of Faculty of International Studies.
